PAYE63038 - employment maintenance: filing online: employers: automatic transfer inhibition printouts (Action Guide)
To deal with the inhibition printouts produced where the
taxpayer record cannot be automatically transferred, the
new office should follow steps 1 - 11 below. The
guide is presented as follows
For details of how to access any of the COP functions use the
[Index of Functions] button on the left of the screen.
PH signal is set - A P204 record has been created
- Note the printout with a date one month ahead
- Put the printout aside to await receipt of the taxpayer record
- Print any E Form Message received about the case and attach it to the printout
- After one month use Function TD to check if the record is now at your reference
- If the record has been transferred to you destroy the printout
- If the record has not been transferred to you after 28 days you will get a further printout – in these circumstances go to step 11
CNC TXN signal is set - A P204 record has been created
- Note the printout with a date one month ahead
- Put the printout aside to await receipt of the taxpayer record
- After one month use Function TD to check if the record is now at your reference
- If the record has been transferred to you destroy the printout
- If the record has not been transferred to you after 28 days you will get a further printout – in these circumstances go to step 11
UNP TAXN signal is set – A P204 record has been created
- Note the printout with a date one month ahead
- Put the printout aside to await receipt of the taxpayer record
- After one month use Function TD to check if the record is now at your reference
- If the record has been transferred to you destroy the printout
- If the record has not been transferred to you after 28 days you will get a further printout – in these circumstances go to step 11
INSP ONLY signal is set - A P204 record has been created
- Note the printout with a date one month ahead
- Put the printout aside to await receipt of the taxpayer record
- After one month use Function TD to check if the record is now at your reference
- If the record has been transferred to you destroy the printout
- If the record has not been transferred to you after 28 days you will get a further printout – in these circumstances go to step 11
NO MVMT signal is set - A P204 record has been created
- Note the printout with a date one month ahead
- Put the printout aside to await receipt of the taxpayer record
- After one month use Function TD to check if the record is now at your reference
- If the record has been transferred to you destroy the printout
- If the record has not been transferred to you after 28 days you will get a further printout – in these circumstances go to step 11
Automatic RETRY time limit expired - please rework manually
Note: If the record cannot be transferred at the
first request then the automatic transfer process will RETRY for a
maximum of 28 days, or until the inhibition on transfer is removed
in the old office.
A P204 record is created in the new office and this can be
viewed using Function MA. If the inhibition is not removed by the
old office then, after 28 days, a printout showing the heading
above is produced in the new office.
