When you receive notification of an additional contract follow steps 1 - 4 below. This Guide is presented as follows

Initial action

  1. Prepare a subfolder for the additional contract
  • Place the notification and any supporting papers within it
  • Make the following entries on the outside of the subfolder
  • Scheme reference number
  • Name of Taxed Award Scheme
  • Name of contract
  • Date the contract was signed
  • Date the contract expires
  1. Mark the subfolder prominently ‘Additional Contract’
  2. Retrieve the employer related electronic file for the Taxed Award Scheme
  • Note the additional contract on the list of additional contracts within the file (or prepare one if this is the first additional contract)

Final action

  1. Use Function AMEND EMPLOYER NOTES to record your actions and then file the papers in the employer record pad
