PAYE24010 - employer records: employer EMO printouts: cess’n / canc’n date rejection / EDI signal set
An Early Morning Output (EMO) rejection printout
‘Cessation / Cancellation Date Set On EBS Rejected By
COP As EDI Signal Set On Record’ is produced
advising you that a mismatch has taken place between the Employer
Business Service (EBS) and COP employer records.
This will indicate
- A cessation or cancellation date has been entered on the EBS employer record
And
- EDI ( Electronic Data Interchange) signal is still set on the COP employer record
The creation of this EMO is as a result of the EDI signal being
left on the COP employer record when the EBS employer record has
been given a cessation or cancellation date.
The EDI signal is
not visible on the COP employer record. Unless you
are aware that your employer record is within these arrangements,
and take the appropriate action to have the indicator (signal)
deleted, a printout will arise when a cessation or cancellation
date is entered on the EBS record. You should use Function AMEND
EMPLOYER NOTES to record that your employer is within EDI
arrangements.
Information Management Solutions (IMS), Live Services,
Shipley will co-ordinate the setting and removal of this
indicator.
The cancellation or cessation of an employer record can only
be done on the EBS employer record. It is not possible to update
the COP record at the same time. Therefore if this signal is not
removed prior to entering a cancellation or cessation date then a
mismatch will arise.
You will need to take remedial action to align both employer
records to ensure the correct position is held on all
computers.
