The trade name is the name under which the employer trades. It may also be referred to as the business name. You may learn of a change to the trade name in the following ways

• Early Morning Output (EMO) based on information from BROCS
• Any other correspondence

Early Morning Output

This printout is produced automatically when an amended trade name is entered on BROCS and it does not agree with the trade name on the employer record. The printout will show both old and new details.

Any other correspondence

You may receive notification of a change to the trade name from various sources. These may include

• Correspondence from the employer contractor or agent
• Notification from another section or office
