PAYE13016 - coding: coding: general principles: annual coding main review type 2 P2 inhibited (Action Guide)

Cases are listed where the system has recoded but the P2 cannot be issued automatically because the MCOTP signal is set or there is insufficient space on the P2 to print all the items. The cases must be reviewed in accordance with the dates given in the Annual Coding Business Guidance Note (BGN).

Follow steps 1 - 9 depending on the entry in the 'Notes' column. The guide is presented as follows

MCOTP or P2 OVERFLOW

1. View Essential Notes to check the reason for the signal
   
2. If P2 requested in Welsh forward information to appropriate office to issue the code
   
3. Otherwise use CD(CY+1) to see next year's coding details
   
4. Prepare a manual P2 using Coding Assistant. Issue the P2 enclosing

5. For P2 OVERFLOW cases only

6. Remember that the signal is set because you need to take special care with the case. There may be a history of coding problems or complaints
