The taxpayer may request output to be issued

• In the Welsh language
• In Braille
• In large print
• By audio

Where you receive such a request, use TBS Function AMEND TAXPAYER DESIGNATORY DETAILS to set the appropriate Special Output indicator

• Output Welsh
• Output Braille
• Output Large Print
• Output Audio

When set

• COP will automatically set the MCOTP signal
• Any of these indicators can be can be viewed using TBS Function VIEW TAXPAYER DESIGNATORY DETAILS

Where the taxpayer withdraws the request, use TBS Function AMEND TAXPAYER DESIGNATORY DETAILS to unset the appropriate Special Output indicator. The MCOTP signals will be automatically unset in COP, subject to the following advice.

The MCOTP signal will not be unset it has been set for another reason also

• One of the Special Output indicators (Large Print, Audio, Braille, Welsh) remains set
• Capacitor applies
• PCESS signal is set (Death is the now the only reason for setting the PCESS signal, but before October 2002 it may have been set for a reason other than death)
