PAYE104010 - taxpayer records: citizen identification record: capacitor
TBS Function AMEND CAPACITOR DETAILS allows you to enter or amend capacitor details on the taxpayer identification record. These include
- Name
- Address
- Capacitor role
- Contact details
The capacitor for the taxpayer may be an individual or a
company. Details are entered in the same way for both.
TBS Function VIEW CAPACITOR DETAILS allows you to view
current capacitor details.
Capacitor role
The common capacity roles are
- Administrator
- Executor
- Personal Representative
- Power of Attorney
- Receiver
- Trustee
TBS Function AMEND CAPACITOR DETAILS provides these roles in a
menu for you to select as required. If the role is not one of
these, you can select ‘Other’ and enter the role
freehand.
Ceasing capacitor
TBS Function AMEND CAPACITOR DETAILS allows you to indicate
that the capacitor has ceased to act for the taxpayer. When this
has been done, the details may no longer be amended.
Capacitor and COP
When a new capacitor has been set up using function TBS
Function AMEND CAPACITOR DETAILS
- The MCOTP signal is automatically set on COP
- An entry is made in COP ENOTES that this is a capacitor case and that details can be obtained from TBS VIEW CAPACITOR DETAILS
When the capacitor has been ceased in TBS
- The MCOTP signal is automatically unset in COP, unless there is another reason for it to remain set
- The cessation is automatically entered in COP ENOTES
The MCOTP signal will remain set if one of the following reasons apply
- A Special Output indicator is set (Braille, Welsh, Audio, Large Print)
- Deceased indicator is set
- PCESS signal is set
The automatic setting of ENOTES in the circumstances described
here does not affect the facility to add and remove ENOTES
manually.
Capacitor history
Any changes to capacitor details will normally result in an
historical record being created.
Historical capacitor details and the date those details were
made historical can be viewed in TBS Function VIEW CAPACITOR
HISTORY.
