Abandonment Insurance

It is understood that policies of insurance to meet future decommissioning and abandonment obligations are or will soon become available. OTO has not yet seen any such policies and has not agreed whether, and if so in what form, tax relief may be due.

Any OTO Inspector learning of the existence of such a policy should obtain a copy and refer it to an Assistant Director.
