Signature Rules (Info)

A Reply Required renewal (non autmoatic renewal) will need to be signed by the claimant, partner or appointee where applicable.

The following signature criteria must be met

• If the claimant is single - one signature must be present

• If there are two claimants - one or both signatures must be present

• If there are two claimants and the Household End Date is present, both signatures must be present

If the above signature criteria is not met, an entry will be created on the 'Unprocessed S17' Work List with a reason of ‘Unsigned’. If the Annual Declaration is also incomplete, and is not signed, an entry will appear on the 'Unprocessed S17' Work List with a reason of Incomplete / unsigned.

Annual Declarations made by telephone to Contact Centre will be treated as being signed.
