If the claimant wants help with their Annual Renewal, establish exactly what help they require.
Help completing the Annual Declaration
If the claimant needs help to complete the Annual Declaration you must ask whether they want to post the form back themselves or whether they would like you to capture the information for them. You must then
- Follow the guidance in Capture An Annual Declaration Enquiry Centre Only
Or
- Return the form for them. If the claimant would like you to submit the form for them, you must date stamp the completed Annual Declaration under the HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) logo and send it, to Netherton for scanning, in a yellow tax post bag
Help completing an LFC form
If the claimant needs help to complete an LFC form with questions, then help them with the questions on the form, and ask them to sign it. If the claimant wants you to submit the form for them, you must date stamp the form and send it to the relevant area, in a yellow tax post bag.
Help answering questions
If the claimant needs help to answer questions which have been asked of them but they do not have the form to complete, you must make a note of the answers which the claimant provides on form ‘Further information’ and ask the claimant to sign the form. You must then submit the form to the Tax Credit Office (TCO) Post Room in a yellow tax post bag
Help submitting an Annual Declaration
If the claimant needs help to submit their Annual Declaration
- But they do not have the form with them, you must follow the guidance in Capturing An Annual Declaration – Enquiry Centre Only
- Using the form TC603D or form TC603D2, and they insist that they want the information capturing immediately, you must follow the guidance in Capturing An Annual Declaration – Enquiry Centre Only
Help to report a change of circumstances
If the claimant provides details of a change of circumstances, you must follow the guidance in Establish If A Change Can Be Made
