Capture An Annual Declaration - Enquiry Centre Only (Info)
A claimant may visit an Enquiry Centre for the following reasons
- To obtain help with completing their Annual Declaration
- Form TC603D if the claimant is required to confirm their income for the previous year (PY)
Or
- To submit their Annual Declaration
- To obtain help with answering questions that they have been asked to complete
Or
- To submit a relevant change of circumstances
A claimant may visit the Enquiry Centre for help with completing their form. You must help the claimant and ask them to sign the declaration. If the claimant wants to submit their Annual Declaration, you must capture the Annual Declaration.
The Annual Declaration must be received before the 1st specified date ( 1SD) to ensure the change can be made to the previous year and finalised on the correct information.
If the Annual Declaration is received after 30 days of the 1SD, ask the claimant the reason for the late reply.
Note: Only one signature is needed from a joint family.
Where the claimant submits their Annual Declaration and an error message of ‘Complex Case’ is displayed in Function CAPTURE ANNUAL DECLARATION, you must date stamp the Annual Declaration under HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) logo and forward it to the Tax Credit Office ( TCO), Netherton in a yellow tax post bag.
To submit a relevant change of circumstances, follow the guidance in Establish If A Change Can Be Made
