Family Regular Pay Day (Info)

For direct payments each claim will be given a regular pay day. This day will then be used for any further direct payments throughout the entire award.

The due day is the day that the claimant will be able to withdraw the money from their bank account or the day that they receive a giro cheque.

Tax credits will not be paid to all claimants on the same day. Each will be allocated a day (Monday to Friday) to achieve an even distribution of payments to be made on each weekday.

The first regular payment must be made within the normal arrears period, that is, one-week if paid weekly.

The due date for the first payment is determined by taking into account the last possible date for payment and the standard 3 day lead-in time, with the processing date being day one. The first payment may be due earlier than the last possible date for payment within the arrears period.
