Reinstate Overpayment Recovery - For Cases Suspended Before 30/10/06 (Info)

When a claimant disputes an overpayment, the recovery of that overpayment will be suspended until a decision is made to either remit or recover it.

If you decide that an overpayment should be recovered, use this guidance to reinstate

• Cross Year Recovery

And / or

• In Year Adjustment

Or

• Direct recovery action by Debt Management and Banking (DMB)

You must follow this guidance for each individual case you want to reinstate recovery on

You will have to use Functions MAKE REMISSION and ADJUST IN YEAR PAYMENTS when you recover an overpayment

These functions are only available in

• The O/P Rec Maintainer user role for Function MAKE REMISSION

And

• The Payment Processor user role for Function ADJUST IN YEAR PAYMENTS
