Same Day Payment (Info)

In order for you to be able to issue the claimant with a same day payment, you must have been contacted by 17:00 hours so that the paperwork can be cleared that day. The claimant can contact you

• Directly

Or, through one of the following offices

• Job Centre Plus

• Department for Social Development ( DSD)

• Enquiry Centre

This is also to allow you time to establish

• Which is the nearest Enquiry Centre to the claimant

And to

• Telephone the claimant, or the Job Centre Plus or DSD office to make sure that it is convenient for the claimant to go to the Enquiry Centre and pick up the giro cheque

If the claimant can not get to the Enquiry Centre, establish an address to which the giro cheque can be delivered by courier. This can be the claimant’s home address or an alternative address that has been agreed with the claimant.

A same day payment can only be authorised by the Customer Relations Team
