Household RLS Work List (AG)

To work an entry on the ‘Household RLS’ Work List, follow steps 1 - 9 below. The guide is presented as follows

1Use Function MAINTAIN WORKLIST
  • Select the ‘Household RLS’ Work List from the drop down list for the Worklist Type field
  • Select the office or unit you want from the drop down list for the Management Unit field, if the one you want is not already displayed in this field. The screen will be redisplayed with the entries currently on the Work List
2On the redisplayed screen
  • Click on the work item you want to work to highlight it and click on the [Details] button. You will be taken to the Worklist Entry Details screen where more details of the selected work item will be displayed
  • If a decision (rejection) notice is awaiting issue, go to step 5
  • If any other type of notice is awaiting issue, go to step 3

3Return to the Maintain Worklist screen
  • Select ‘Unprocessed Change Of Circs’ Work List from the drop down list for the Worklist Type field
  • Select the office or unit you want from the drop down list for the Management Unit field, if the one you want is not already displayed in this field. The screen will be redisplayed with the entries currently on the Work List
  • Check to see if a change of address has been notified but not yet changed on the computer
  • If the address has been notified, but not yet changed on the computer. Note the new address details and then go to step 6

Otherwise

  • Go to step 4

4If a change of address has not been notified
  • Telephone the claimant either at home or at work and ask for new address details. If you
  • Obtain new address details, go to step 6

Otherwise

  • Go to step 7

5If the claim has been rejected
  • Telephone the claimant either at home or at work and ask for new address details. If you
  • Obtain new address details, go to step 6

Otherwise

  • Go to step 8

6Use Function AMEND APPLICATION, choosing the Correction option to record the new address details and remove the RLS signal
  • Go to the Applicant Details screen and click on the [Address] button. You will be taken to the Address Change screen
  • In the Address Change screen
  • Change the claimants address
  • Click on the RLS Signal checkbox

And

  • Click on the [OK] button

Note: The computer will not automatically remove the RLS signal and issue the notice once the address is changed

  • If the claim was awarded, go to step 7

Otherwise

  • Take no further action

7Use Function MAINTAIN HOUSEHOLD NOTES and enter one of the following notes, appropriate to the action you have taken
  • ‘TCMZ - Household RLS work list Case new address traced and system amended’

Or

  • ‘TCMZ - Household RLS work list Case unable to trace new address’

Notes:

You must follow the guidance in How To Correctly Complete Application And Household Notes when you record the note

Follow the guidance in Maintain Household Notes

Then

  • Go to step 8
8Return to Function MAINTAIN WORKLIST if you are not already there
  • Select the ‘Household RLS’ Work List from the drop down list for the Worklist Type field
9On the Maintain Worklist screen
  • Set an Action Date of 180 days, making sure that the Retained checkbox is ticked

And at the Action Date

  • Go back to step 1
