Household RLS Work List (Info)

There is an Action Guide for this subject, click on 'Next Page' to access it

If the claimant’s address is RLS the award notice will not be created. A work item will be created on the ‘Household RLS’ Work List instead and unless the RLS issue is resolved in time, a reminder notice will not be issued.

Where the address becomes RLS after the award notice has been issued and before the reminder notice should be issued, the reminder notice will be inhibited. A work item will then be created on the ‘Household RLS’ Work List.

If either of the claimants’ addresses are RLS, automated notices will not be created. Again, work items will be created on the ‘Household RLS’ Work List.

To resolve the entries on this Work List you should

  • Check if there is a change of address details on the ‘Unprocessed Change of Circs’ Work List
  • Telephone the claimant if applicable for details of the new address

If a new address

  • Is obtained the claimant’s computer record should be updated and the RLS signal removed
  • Is not obtained an Action Date should be set on the work item for review at a later date
