Failed Logged Returned
Award Notices Work List (AG)
To work an entry on the ‘Failed Logged Returned Award
Notice’ Work List, consider steps 1 - 11 below. The guide is
presented as follows
Initial action
| 1 | Use Function MAINTAIN WORKLIST
- Select the ‘Failed Logged Returned Award Notices’
Work List from the drop down list from the Worklist Type field
- Select the office or unit you want from the drop down list for
the Management Unit field. This screen will be redisplayed with the
entries currently on the Work List

| 2 | Click on the entry on the Work List you want to
work to highlight it and click on the [Details] button. You will be
taken to the Worklist Entry Details screen where more details of
the selected work item will be displayed |
| 3 | On the Worklist Entry Details screen
- Identify the reason for the failure to log the return of the
award notice
|
| 4 | If the reason displayed appears as
- ‘Unmatched’, go to step 6
- ‘Sig not required’, go to step 5
- ‘Already Logged’, go to step 7
Or
- ‘Out of date’, go to step 9
|
Reason 'Sig not required'
| 5 | Use Function VIEW AWARD and go to the Award Summary
screen
- Click on the latest initial CY claim to highlight it
And
- Make a note of the barcode reference on a form TC648
- If there is an initial PY claim for PY, make a note of that
barcode reference as well
Notes:
- If there is no entry in the Issue Date field for that version,
click on the next amended version that has an issue date to
highlight it
- If a claim has been received in CY and backdated to PY, both
award notices must be logged as returned
Then
|
Returned award notice not matched
| 6 | Establish the claimants
Or
- Surname and date of birth
Follow the guidance in
Trace
Individual
Then
|
Delete the work list entry
| 7 | Use Function MAINTAIN WORKLIST
- Click on the [Delete] button to delete the Work List entry. The
entry will be deleted from the Work List. Take no further
action
|
Log the returned award notice
| 8 | If you
- Make a match in ‘Trace Individual’, go back to step
5
- Obtain the returned award notice (only where the Work List
entry was created manually)
And
- Log the award notice using the barcode reference you have noted
previously, go to step 11
|
Out of date notices
| 9 | Invite the claimant to submit a new claim and send
this with a new form TC600 |
| 10 | Use Function MAINTAIN HOUSEHOLD NOTES and record
your action

| 11 | Use Function MAINTAIN WORKLIST
- Select the ‘Failed Logged Returned Award Notices’
Work List from the drop down list for the Worklist Type field
- Select the office or unit you want from the drop down list for
the Management Unit field, if the one you want is not already
displayed in this field. The screen will be redisplayed with the
entries currently on the Work List
- Click on the entry you want to delete and click on the [Delete]
button to delete the Work List entry. The entry will be deleted
from the Work List
