Failed Logged Returned Award Notices Work List (Info)
There is an Action Guide for this subject, click on 'Next Page' to access it
An entry will appear on the ‘Failed Logged Returned Award Notice’ Work List when
- The computer fails to log a returned award notice because a signature is not required on the award notice or the notice has already been logged
- An operator creates the entry because they were unable to match a returned award notice to a valid, current claim, whilst they were logging its return
For guidance about unmatched, returned award notices see Checking Unmatched Returned Award Notices
Or
- The notice is received too late and the award has ceased / terminated after the 30 day administration period
If the entry is on the Work List because the award could not be matched to a current claim you should
- Match it to a current claim
And
- Log the returned award notice
Where the Work List entry was created manually because the operator was not able to match the notice to a valid current claim, the award notice will have been forwarded to you at that time. For all other failure reasons you will not have the award notice and it will not be necessary to obtain it.
Where the Work List entry was created because the award notice has already been logged the entry should be deleted from the Work List.
Where the Work List entry was created because a signature is not required, you will need to obtain the barcode reference of the correct version and log the award notice as returned.
Note: All claims must be deleted from the Work List once the failure has been resolved
