TC602 Or TC603R Notices Requiring Manual Typing (Info)
There are two Action Guides for this subject, click on 'Next Page' to access them
This process must only be used to clerically produce notices TC602A, TC602B, TC602C, TC602 or TC603R. All other forms must be produced in the normal way using the appropriate LFC.
There are a number of circumstances in which it is necessary to create manual versions of tax credit notices TC602 and TC603R
- Cases with more than 18 children
- Claimants with exceptionally long names
- Clerical cases
- Cross Border / Family Supplement cases
- Custodial sentences
- Deceased children cases
- Deceased claimant cases
- Mismatch cases
- Polygamous / Polyandrous marriages
- Tax credits claimants receiving
income-related Employment and Support Allowance (
ESA) and also working 16 hours or
more a week
- WTC element - migrant workers
Before you use this guidance, you should have already established which details need to be added / amended on the notices. Because the 'Complex Case' and / or 'Manual Correspondence' signals are set, the computer will produce an automated award notice which you will receive from the team working the 'Manual Correspondence' Work List. The Work List entry will be transferred to your Management Unit (MU) .
Use the automated notice and record any amendments on Form TC60X .
Notes:
- Each team requiring this process should have already agreed and
set up the format of the SEES template with the Text Production
Unit. For example letter heading, area name address, telephone
number, fax number, opening hours, Director's name and logos. Any
subsequent changes must be notified to the Text Production Unit
through your manager
- This guidance does not apply to Claimant Compliance and the Welsh Language Unit. These areas deal with their own notices requiring manual typing
