Claimant Has No NINO And Over 2 Months Since Claim Submitted – Enquiry Centre Only (AG)
To deal with an enquiry from a claimant who does not have a NINO, or they have provided one and it cannot be traced or accepted and it is over two months since they submitted their claim, consider steps 1 to 5 below. The guide is presented as follows
| Initial action | Steps 1 - 3 |
| Refer to STU for call back | Steps 4 - 5 |
| 1 | Ask the claimant to
confirm whether they have received a form TC154 from the Tax Credit
Office
And, if they have received a form TC154 Ask the claimant if DWP / DSD has contacted them within five weeks of receiving it to arrange an interview Note: It may be useful to explain to the claimant that the form TC154 tells them that they will receive a letter from DWP / DSD within 5 weeks asking them to attend an interview to prove their identity
