Second Adult Element (Info)

In a joint claim, the second adult element of WTC is not payable if

• The claimant or partner is aged 50 or over and the 50+ element is payable

And

• Neither claimant or partner works 30 hours or more a week

But they are eligible to receive the second adult element of WTC if

• The claimant or partner is responsible for a child or young person

Or

• They satisfy the requirements for the disablement element
