Warning Message: ‘Hours Worked And IS / JSA / MIG End Date More Than 7 days In The Future’ (Info)

This is temporary guidance for when you are attempting to enter a work change to current work details, for example ending a job and starting a new job, and the following warning message(s) displays

  • ‘Hours worked and IS end date more than 7 days in the future’
     
  • ‘Hours worked and JSA end date more than 7 days in the future’

Note: From 27/10/2008, this message could refer to ESA (Employment and Support Allowance) as well as JSA. You must refer to the Access to DWP Data System manual (ADD) for advice on how to confirm the actual benefit

Or

  • ‘Hours worked and MIG end date more than 7 days in the future’

Note: MIG (Minimum Income Guarantee) has now been replaced by Pension Credit ( PC)

Firstly, you must check if the IS / JSA / MIG Start and Include From Date has an end date

  • If an end date exists, continue to follow the appropriate Work History guidance to update the work change
     
  • If an end date does not exist, follow this guidance until further notice

For the purpose of this guidance, the warning message will mean

  • ‘Hours worked and IS/JSA/ESA/MIG (PC) end date more than 7 days in the future’

You must have available all the relevant information and established what action is required, for example by following the guidance in Work / Benefit Changes, before you follow this guidance.
