Entering Place Of Work History (Info)
There is an Action Guide for this subject, click on 'Next Page' to access it
If the claimant and / or their partner reports that they have started working and these are the first work details entered on the computer or where an existing employment exists but no place of work history details have been entered, you must enter the place of work history details.
If the claimant and / or their partner have work details entered on the computer, but there are no place of work history details recorded for that person, then this will cause a verification failure.
Firstly, you must follow the appropriate guidance in Work / Benefit Changes and then you must update the place of work history
When entering dates in the Start Date and Include From fields, you can enter the same dates that are already entered in the Work Start and Include From fields, because restrictions will have already been considered.
If the claimant or their partner reports that they have ended their job, then there is no requirement to end their place of work history provided that the claimant or their partner are not starting a new job outside the UK.
If the claimant or their partner has ended their work in the UK and they report that they are going to start work outside the UK or they have changed their employment outside the UK to another job outside the UK, then follow the guidance in Ending Place Of Work History
