Unmatched Change Or Correction (Info)

Notification of a change of circumstances and / or a correction can be made in a number of ways. Follow the guidance in Notifying A Change.

When a change of circumstances or a correction that cannot be matched to an existing claim is received, you will need to

• Identify the type of communication

• Identify the claimant from whom the correspondence originated

And then take an appropriate course of action to resolve the issue by either

• Finding a matching claim

Or

• Filing the correspondence or record of the telephone call in a clerical BF run for 28 days, and then after that period, send it to local storage
