Duplicate / Fictitious Child Corrective Action (Info)
A child’s details may have been entered onto the computer more than once or may have been entered in error. You can become aware of this
- From the claimant who, on receipt of their award notice, tells you that we have duplicated their child or added a child incorrectly
Or
- When you are working on a claim in Functions AMEND APPLICATION, VIEW APPLICATION, CAPTURE APPLICATION or MANAGE VERIFICATION FAILURES, the Child Not Matched verification failure level 2
Do not take any corrective action
You must refer cases to your TALLO if payments are still being made on the latest claim for a duplicate or fictitious child. Your TALLO will then contact the Technical Advice Line (TAL)
Do not refer cases to your TALLO if payments have ended for a duplicate or fictitious child where there is
- A responsibility end date for the duplicate or fictitious child
Or
- Where the claim has ceased
