You must follow this guidance when a claimant contacts you and informs you that a child or young person that was previously on their claim has returned to their household.

For example, the child was originally the responsibility of the claimant but left this household and then became the responsibility of the claimants ex partner. The child then leaves the ex partners address and returns to the claimant’s household.
