System Help (Info)

System Help provides detailed guidance on the use of functions in the NTC business services. It

  • Is available when you are using any function in any NTC business service
  • Provides specific help at each of the following levels

Function
Screen or Window
Field
And
Error message

  • Is context sensitive. This means, for example, if you make an error in a particular field, when you use the F1 key on the keyboard you will be presented with the help for that particular field
  • Can be accessed through both the F1 key on your keyboard and the on-screen [Help] button

F1 key

If the cursor is resting in an input field, pressing the F1 key on the keyboard brings up help for that field. The Field Help provides links to each of

  • Function Help
  • Screen or Window Help 

And

  • Error Help for all messages that relate to that field

If the cursor is not resting in an input field, or there are no input fields on the screen, pressing the F1 key on the keyboard brings up help for the screen that you are on. The Screen Help provides links to

  • Function Help 

And where there are input fields on the screen

  • Field Help
  • Error Help for all messages that relate to the screen

[Help] button

Clicking on the on-screen [Help] button brings up help for the screen you are on. The Screen Help provides links to

  • Function Help
