User Roles - General (Info)

A user role reflects a particular job, and determines which functions an individual can access to carry out that job. Each office will be allocated those user roles, and the functions associated with those roles, that are needed. Local management will allocate user roles to individual operators.

Operators may be allocated more than one user role.

Although some roles may be appropriate to more than one business service, the functions required to carry out the task may differ between those business services. For this reason, the role names are unique. Inclusion of the initials of the business service in the role name distinguishes roles that would otherwise be common. For example, in the case of Work List Manager
