Withdrawing A Claim (AG)
To withdraw a claim for tax credits, consider steps 1 - 7 below. The guide is presented as follows

Compliance Activity. If there is no Compliance activity, or
Compliance do not require the claim, if the claim is being
withdrawn due to

APPLICATION and go to the Summary Information screen to determine
whether the notice needs to be issued in a
Special Needs format

TC865, which tells the
claimant that their claim has been withdrawn. Then

| 5 | Note: Any Application Notes must be entered before
the claim is withdrawn to ensure the claim is not reinstated
incorrectly
On the Summary Information screen, enter the following in the Application Notes field

Note: The date that the claim is treated as withdrawn on is either the date stamped on the letter or if no date stamp is present, the date the claim was withdrawn on the computer. For example, ‘TCMZ Notification of withdrawn tax credits claim sent DD/MM/YYYY, claim treated as withdrawn from DD/MM/YYYY’
