Disabled Child

A disabled child is a child or young person who

• Is in receipt of Disability Living Allowance, or Disability Living Allowance has ceased only because the child or young person is a patient

• Is registered blind or partially sighted in a register compiled by a Local Authority or in Scotland or Northern Ireland is certified as blind or partially sighted

Or

• Ceased to be registered or certified blind within the 28 weeks before the date of claim
