MLR2R16100 - Refusing an Application for Registration: Cancellation of Registration
If we take the decision to cancel a registration we must notify the business in writing. A business can appeal against a decision to cancel their registration.
We may cancel a registration if we are satisfied that:
- the circumstances relating to an individual’s fit and proper status have changed and the individual is no longer considered to be fit and proper;
- information provided to us in the registration process is false or misleading;
- where the MLR business has made a mistake at registration, for example, registering two premises separately. In this case, the second registration should be cancelled and the first amended.
