The most likely contact is with guard dogs. Trader’s staff
or security agency should control them. As with vehicles and
machinery, the best way to avoid injury is to stay well away from
dogs. If confronted by an uncontrolled/unconfined animal your first
priority should be to get to a position of safety. Then you should
attract the attention of the business’s staff and ask that
they bring the animal under control.
If you have been bitten or scratched seek medical attention
immediately. You may need an anti-tetanus injection. There is
guidance on
vaccinations and
biological infection hazards on the HR and
Learning Intranet site.
