The Central Collection Unit (CCU) maintains the Landfill Tax
register. From this the Environmental Taxes Unit of Expertise (UoE)
annually publish the names, business addresses and Landfill Tax
registration numbers of those registered for the tax. Apart from
the registration numbers, such details are already in the public
domain as a result of environmental law. This publication shows the
Landfill Tax register as at 31 March of the relevant year. The
legal basis for publication of the register is the Finance Act
1996, Schedule 5, paragraph 36.
Members of the public can obtain a copy of the Landfill Tax
register from the UoE or from the
HMRC web site.
