Aim is to prioritise all cases into 2 areas of relevance, the level of known debt/potential risk and how often an individual case will need to be reviewed.
Cases can and may change both priority and category as many
times as necessary during its life on VAS. All changes to priority
must be recorded on the file and IDMS 1066 notes with a brief
explanation as to why. I.e. o/s post debt/bankruptcy hearing
pending etc.
IDMS BF’s should reflect the review period of the case
and the next action must be relevant as to what is expected to be
carried out at the review date as per the laminated list of agreed
next actions.
Officers will remain responsible for the following types of
case regardless of their Priority & Category marking.
Until such time as CLOVA is introduced ETS will continue to be
used to collate each team’s monthly stats. It will be adapted
to take into account the new priorities and will also have just one
place for recording a file review. Please note that a review will
no longer consist of just a post debt check.
Stats will be gathered on the number of cases, within a
category, reviewed each month and the number over their limit will
be deducted to give a % score against the monthly target.
Agreed reviewing targets for 2008/09 are :
95% of Cat A & B cases & an AIM of 90% of Cat C
cases
Cases are categorised in four priority types
Full case review categories:
A = Every 30 days
B = Every 60 days
C = Every 90 days
D = Every 180 days
E = Every 365 days
