Case settled: Process checks

The response to the statutory demand may lead to the settlement of the case.

The Caseworker should

• Close the case
• Carry out DPA (Data Protection Act) weeding (This text has been withheld because of exemptions in the Freedom of Information Act 2000)
• Note the statistics and MELT Database
• Complete form IDMS310/EO at parts A and F (all cases) and parts B to D as appropriate.

The Assistant Examiner should

• Complete form IDMS310/EO at part E
• Complete the Settled Case Checklist wizard (after returning all Head of Duty and IDMS responsibility to the Recovery Office, if appropriate.) (This text has been withheld because of exemptions in the Freedom of Information Act 2000)
• Pass the case to the E2.

The E2 should

• Complete form 18/EO (pink card)
• Return any district files, forms P35’s and so on
• Note the statistics, MELT and EO/Sols notes on IDMS
