IHTM07064 - FACET: share checks

The values of shares quoted on schedule IHT411 of the IHT400 need to be checked.

You need to

• first check to make sure that the date of death on the IHT400 is the same as the one quoted on the IHT411
• then look at the daily official list (held in FACET library) corresponding to the date of death
• each share on the IHT411 is checked to see if the market price is within the range on the official list
• shares that are correct are ticked in green
• any that are incorrect need to be updated to show the market price and overall total; these figures are shown in green on theIHT411

Check the FACET 1 form to ensure that all the correct schedules are attached and pass the file through to either the Risk assessors ( IHTM07100) or PC&S.

Sample cases only

If the case is sampled and the prices quoted are incorrect you need to amend the compass record accordingly. The file cover needs noting to show that a share check has been carried out. Write in green ink in the notes box recording the type of check carried out, your name and date.
