IHTM40031 - Who is responsible for dealing with an application for clearance?: open and recently closed cases

You are responsible for dealing with an application for clearance on a case that is allocated to you and which is

• still open, or
• closed but not yet in store.

This means that you will be responsible for checking the application ( IHTM40061) and giving clearance (IHTM40121), if you are authorised to do so.

If you receive clearance certificates on a case that is not allocated to you, you should forward them to the appropriate caseworker without delay.
