The nominated E1 in the File Registry will complete a form -
Timber Rev 8a - by filling in the appropriate sections. He/she will
use the details from either the file or previous Rev 8a and confirm
the solicitor’s address/DX details from the Waterstones
Directory.
Three copies of the Rev 8a will be printed. One copy will be
stamped “
copy for retention” and sent with a signed
copy to the appropriate solicitors. The third copy will be attached
to the file cover and the file BU’d for two months.
If after two months there is no response from the parties,
send a reminder with a copy of the original Rev 8a. Put a copy of
the reminder on the file and BU for a further month. If no response
after another month, the case will be referred to the nominated
caseworker for their consideration.
When a reply is received, if the answers are all negative,
then BU the case for a further five years and return the file to
the store via the registry.
If the answer to any of the questions is “yes,”
the file will then be referred to the nominated caseworker.
