IHTM39015 - Future claims: closing a file
where an F(DT) marking is appropriate
When the file is ready for closing and it is considered that a
discretionary trust exists,

- Send SL 116
- Mark the front of the file cover
- “O(F)” in red in the “File
Status” column on the front of the file cover
- “F(DT)” in red in the “Review
(Cases Only)” column on the front of the file cover, followed
by the review date (ten years from the death, or the next ten year
anniversary, or the termination of the Settlement, if earlier) also
in red. If you are not yet authorised to end your own files, submit
the file to your manager/ team developer for endorsement.
