IHTM38042 - Debt Management Case Plan: what is the Case Plan?


The Debt Management Case Plan is a living document, an on-line form that should accurately record the basic information necessary to complete the case and the strategy adopted to achieve a cost effective and efficient settlement of a debt or protection of an IHT charge.

The Case Plan is designed to

  • the type of Debt Management & Banking (DMB) case being dealt with

  • protective action taken
  • Notices of Determination ( IHTM38281) and their outcomes
  • court action
  • time to pay ( IHTM38321) agreements
  • tracing ( IHTM38081)
  • results obtained.

It is presented in a way to focus the DMB caseworker’s actions on the correct procedures.
