Information Distribution Office (TIDO) which in turn has a direct
link to the Shipping Registry’s database. The Registry has
information about owners, operators, descriptions of vessels, ports
of registration, mortgage charges against the vessel and the number
of shares held by each owner. TIDO can search the database using
any of these criteria, or it can do an extract using, say, the port
of registration or the postcode. Additional information may be
available. But information is more limited for leisure craft below
25 feet.
You might, for example, consider asking for a search in this
area where you have other information to suggest that the deceased
might have owned a vessel.
