IHTM08051 - File movements: back to rack
When an open file is not currently required by the caseworker it
is sent for temporary storage in the registry rack. On the ALF (
IHTM03291) computer system this
location is shown as ‘Rack A’ (in Edinburgh it is EDIN
RACK).
When you receive a file that is to be returned to the
registry rack you should
- delete any BU dates from ALF that have
been crossed through on the file cover – in Edinburgh you
will need to delete any old BU dates from ALF and cross through
them on the file cover
- add any BU dates on ALF that have been
added to the file cover, including progress reviews – in
Edinburgh tick and initial these
- change the current location on ALF to the
registry rack (Rack A or EDIN RACK)
- place the file in the rack according to
its year and reference number
