IHTM06011 - Rules about excepted estates - what is an excepted estate

For deaths after 6 April 2004, there are three categories of excepted estate.

• low value excepted estates ( IHTM06012)
• exempt excepted estates ( IHTM06013), and
• foreign domiciliaries ( IHTM06021)
