IHTM03291 - ALF file location system: general

ALF is an acronym for Automated Location of Files. It

• provides an index of all IHT and SAV case files and Board Papers ( IHTM09313) and a search facility
• records file movements
• displays the current location and status of files
• records the receipt of connectors
• records the dates for reviewing files and produces lists of files due for review
• provides various management statistics, for example open case counts and old cases lists

This section provides a brief outline of the system. Detailed user manuals are available and are given to those closely involved with ALF on a day to day basis.
