ECH3055 - ECTM Duties: Levels of Authority
It is essential that EC staff are aware of the correct levels of authority. The ECTM should
- ensure their team are aware of when
- to use their own discretion
- reviews must be referred to the ECTM or the ECUM, for example in potential complaint cases
- matters must be referred to other sections, for example status issues
- letters must be approved by the ECTM or ECUM before issue, for example in penalty cases.
Signature of letters and forms
The ECTM is responsible for signing all
- letters to employers or contractors which confirm open year instructions and
- stock forms bearing the printed designation ‘ECTM’.
The ECTM may delegate this responsibility in the case of experienced ECOs.
