Detailed below are a number of examples of duties which are considered to be appropriate to the Compliance Support function. The list is not intended to be exhaustive and managers should use appropriate discretion when allocating tasks.

  • Control and operation of routine office systems
  • Diary management
  • Booking Appointments
  • Issuing notices and letters on behalf of the caseworker
  • Acknowledging receipt of records, documents and correspondence from customers and their agents
  • Routine clerical/ administrative tasks which involve following clear instructions/guidance
  • Distinct Support Functions – filing, linking , photocopying etc
  • Routine analysis of records /documents
  • Creating basic spreadsheets
  • Provision of statistical information & support to Team Leader
  • Prescribed basic checks
  • Data extraction

  • Pre- review/ additional research/ provisional computations prior to the commencement of the compliance check
  • Prescribed basic checks during the compliance check subject to the appropriate authorisation ECH2005 & ECH5010
  • Data extraction
  • Preparation of Spreadsheets
  • Payroll Macro analysis report checks
  • Updating systems templates, Intervention plans and preparing computations under the supervision of the caseworker.
  • Note taking
  • Visiting employers to collect records/ obtain completed letters of offer.
  • Updating computer systems.
  • Safe Accounting – inputting class 6 charges on to the system for Accounts Office.
  • NIRS 2 requests.
  • General case progression.
  • Undertaking the more straightforward follow up action and administrative functions connected to the compliance check.
