ECH3525 - ECUM Duties: Quality Assurance
The ECUM has overall responsibility for quality of ECR work.
The ECUM should
- monitor the ECTM's approach as outlined at ECH3120
- personally review cases on accordance with SCS20/06.
Additionally, the ECUM should
- undertake, on a quarterly basis, a sample check of settled reviews authorised by the ECTMs, including a proportion of ‘NIL’ cases, to ensure
- that where appropriate culpability has been fully explored
- that penalties have been considered where appropriate
- that quality standards are maintained
- customer service has been offered (for example PSAs and Payroll Cleanse)
- yield was accurately recorded ( ECH22500)
- appropriate follow up action has taken place on review with in year adjustment
- feedback to RISK has taken place
- undertake a sample check of reviews not taken up to ensure the correct decision was made.
