ECH22082 - Contract Settlements: The Strategic Accounting Framework Environment: SAFE - Class 6 Amendment

Where there is a requirement for an amendment to a Class 6 charge the Manager should

• re-submit the review papers to the Senior Manager with
• a report of circumstances for the amendment
• a note headed 'REVISED SETTLEMENT FIGURES' for issue to the Business Accounts Inspector with a copy for retention in the employers file

and, where necessary

• a signed but undated explanatory letter to the employer, contractor or agent
• an amended computation.

The Senior Manager will consider the amendment to the charge.

Where an amendment is approved by the Senior Manager the papers will be returned and the Manager should arrange to

• notify the SAFE nominee of the necessary amendment ( ECH22085)
• issue the revised settlement memo(s)
