As part of their support to Local Compliance the EST will be available to support the Appeals Units and other staff taking Commissioners Hearings where their expertise on technical issues is required to

• assist in preparing cases
• attend as a witness or to provide technical support

Where EST staff have the ability and experience they may present cases with the agreement of the Business Unit Appeals Officer and their manager.
