The decision maker should always set the whole allowance against
the man's earnings unless there is evidence to suggest that this is
not appropriate. When the decision maker becomes aware of that
evidence after the decision has been made, the decision maker
should revise in the usual way.
Note Married couple's allowance was abolished with effect
from 6.4.00.
